Ray County, Missouri - Lawson Review, April 15, 1920 - Cemetery in Need of Funds Lawson Review, Lawson, Missouri Thursday, April 15, 1920 Front Page Cemetery in Need of Funds. Those interested in our city cemetery are aware of the title of ownership still being in question and is now in the supreme court awaiting decision, and the care of the graves and lots must be supported by private contribution and the time of the year has now arrived when the work of cutting the grass and other care must be attended to. John Ward has kindly consented to take the matter in hand and will donate his services for looking after the care of the cemetery, if those interested in the graves and family lots will come forward voluntarily with a donation sufficient to keep the cemetery in order. It will require from $2.50 to $5 from each person interested to properly care for the entire burying ground for the coming season and would suggest that the reverence and respect you have for this work remind you to make you donation to Mr. Ward without further solicitation and his services being entirely gratis let us not put him to extra work by having to hunt you up and soliciting your donation with Mr. Ward, or either of the banks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jenna Zunker USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
