Ray County, Missouri - Richmond Democrat transcription: July 19, 1883 Richmond Democrat 19 JUL 1883 A fourteen-year-old son of a farmer named Mason, living four miles south of town, was accidentally cut in the leg by a wheat cradle, six inches above the knee, on Monday last. The wound was six inches in length and four inches deep. Dr. Chas. Jacobs was hastily summoned and did all that was possible to relieve the sufferer.
