Ray County, Missouri - Richmond Democrat transcription: September 13, 1883 Richmond Democrat 13 SEPT 1883 Our worthy liveryman Mr. G.W.L. Schweich, has patented a new valve and cut off, for wind instruments, that need valves. It is especially designed for Cornets and Band instruments. We do not fully understand the invention, but Leonard, a noted instrument maker of Philadelphia has taken hold of the matter ad decided the invention a success. We hope Mr. Schweich will make a big thing out of it. He is a worthy gentleman and deserves success. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jenna Zunker USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
