Mrs. Sallie Pettus, widow of the late H. Clay Pettus, who makes her home with her brother, Mr. A.M. Fowler, southwest of Richmond, fell on the ice, Thursday morning and as a result has a broken right hip. Mrs. Pettus was immediately taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City for treatment under Dr. Eugene P. Hamilton. Drs. P.I. Hamilton and E.T. McGaugh, local physicians attended Mrs. Pettus here.
