Davis, Jr., on Monday at Richmond Funeral services for William Bradley David, jr., of Chicago, Ill., who died at the Richmond hospital of a heart ailment on Saturday, were held at 2:30 o’clock on Monday afternoon at the Mansur Funeral Home. The services were conducted by the Rev. Ernest Jones, pastor of the Richmond Methodist church. Pallbearers were: Pat Wall, J. Wall, Charles N. Brown, Victor Blain, Charles "Dink" Pike and Maurice Scott. Burial was at Sunny Slope cemetery. He was born at Salem, Mass., on April 15, 1906, a son of William B. Davis, sr., and Ella (Tanner) Davis, both of Salem, Mass. He was married on April 15, 1936, to Mildred Pike, daughter of the late Ed Pike and Mrs. Janie Pike of Richmond, who survives. 1942 An Infant Girl Died On Tuesday Morning A daughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Jeell Elliott of Camden on Tuesday morning, died shortly after birth. She is survived by her parents and one brother, three years old. Services were held at Fleming on Tuesday afternoon. Brother Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. 1942 Held Services for Lawrence Misel, 75 Today at Millville Funeral services were held at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon at the Millville Methodist church for Lawrence Misel, 75 years old, who died at his home 3 ˝ miles northeast of Millville at 4:35 o’clock Tuesday morning after two weeks illness. Burial was at New Hope cemetery. The Brothers Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Misel was born on March 14, 1866, in Germany, a son of George Misel and Nacy (Miller) Misel. He lived in Ray County 61 years. He married Willie Claridy of Millville on February 1, 1906. Survivors include: four sons, Walter Misel of Rayville, Charles, William and Ralph Misel of Richmond; one daughter, Miss Gladys Misel of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Wells and Mrs. Gus Drevs of northeast Richmond and Mrs. H. L. Clevenger of Neosho, and two grandchildren. 1942 Held Services for Elbe Nelson, 65, on Monday Afternoon Services for Elbe Nelson, 65 years old, who died Friday afternoon of a heart attack, were held Monday afternoon at the Liberty church. The Rev. Glenn Ellis of Kansas City conducted the service. Burial was at Liberty cemetery. J.W. Knipschild had charge of the service. He was a native of Ray County, having been born on October, 12, 1876, a son of Alfred nelson, of Alabama and Ohio. He spent his entire lifetime in Ray County. He was married on March 1, 1903, to Grace Brooks, who survives. Other survivors include: one son Golman F. Nelson; two brothers, Charles Nelson, Anton, Texas, and Clarence Nelson of Carrollton; one sister, Mrs. Homer Linch of Hardin; and one grandchild. 1942 Held Services for Mrs. Margaret Moore Yesterday Afternoon Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Mansur Moore, 73 years old, who died Sunday at Omaha, Nebr., were held Wednesday afternoon at the New Hope church. Burial was at New Hope cemetery. The Mansur Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Moore was born in Ray County on November 25, 1868, a daughter of Porter Mansur and Mrs. Margaret (Quinn) Mansur of Massachusetts and Indiana. She was married to William Moore of Oklahoma. He died in 1918. Survivors include: two brothers, C.O. Mansur, sr., of Hardin and Steve Mansur of Russellville; one half-brother, William Mansur of Miami, Okla. 1942 Coroner Said That Fred Tutt Died of Heart Disease Here Fred Tutt of Dawn, Mo., who came here November 14 to work for Frank Lowry, operator of the Standard filling station on West Main street, died Saturday night at 6:30 o’clock. While resting at the station Saturday night, he became sick, and died before physician could reach him. The body was taken to the Brothers Funeral Home and examined by Dr. H.M. Grittith, county coroner, who stated he had died of heart disease. 1942 Held Rites Today at Excelsior Springs For Arthur Collins Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Excelsior Springs Methodist church for Arthur L. Collins, 62 years old, who died at 11:45 o’clock Tuesday morning at the mine of the Elmira Coal Co. The service was conducted by the Rev. Clyde Clark. Burial was at Higginsville. The Thurman funeral Home had charge of arrangements. He was born March 17, 1879, near Lexington, the son of Lewis C. and Marie (Croe) Collins, of Paris, Mo. He lived in Richmond sis years. Survivors include: four sons, Willie, of Higginsville, R.B., Darrell and Donald Collins of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Russell Champman, Higginsville, mrs. Virginia Petree of Excelsior Springs and Misses Beatrice, Wanda Rose and Helen Dianne Collins of the home. One brother, Charles Collins, of Mosby and a sister, Mrs. Katie Hicklin of Higginsville and six grandchildren also survive. 1942 Held Service for Wiley Kincaid, 52, Today at Knoxville Funeral service were held at 1 o’clock this afternoon at the Knoxville church for Wiley Kincaid, 52 years old, who died Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock at his home east of Knoxville, following an illness of 10 days duration. Burial was in the Kincaid Cemetery. Mr. Kincaid was born on December 25, 1889, in Ray County, a son of Avis Kincaid and Alice Kincaid, both of Ray County. He spent his entire lifetime in this county. He was married 24 years ago to Alma Holder of Knoxville, who survives. Other survivors include: his mother; son Robert Kincaid, of Orrick; two daughters Mis Mary of Orrick; two daughters, Miss Mary coln Dana of Knoxville; one brother, David Kincaid of Knoxville; and one grandchild. 1942 Hold Services for Mrs. Mary E. Rogers Friday at Richmond Funeral services will be held at Richmond at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Richmond Baptist church for Mrs. Mary Ellen Rogers, 60 years old, who died Saturday in Los Angeles, Calif., while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Wesley Lee. Death was attributed to a paralytic stroke. The services will be conducted by the Rev. W.E. Davis. Burial will be at the City cemetery. Thurman Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rogers was born in Carroll County on December 13, 1881, a daughter of Preston O’Dell and Eliza O’Dell Mizner. She spent virtually her entire lifetime in Ray County. She was married on February 16, 1901, to Charles R. Rogers of Carrollton. Survivors include two sons, John C. Rogers, Kincaid, Ill., Jewel L. Rogers, West Frankfort, Ill.; four daughter, Mrs. William F. Toepfer, Detroit, Mrs. Dorothy Monroe, Detroit, Mrs. Reid Ellis, Benton, Ill., Mrs. Wesley Lee, Los Angeles; three brothers Elbert and Arch O’Dell of Richmond, John J. O’Dell, Wilmington, N.C., and four grandchildren. 1942 Held Services for Reyburn Scott, 19, At Union Church Reyburn Scott, 19 years old, died at 1 o’clock Sunday morning at this home four miles north of Orrick. He was born on September 30, 1922, a son of Lester Scott of Ray County and Ruth (Hall) Scott, of near Orrick. He is survived by his parents and one brother, Ronald Scott, of the home. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the Union church. The services were conducted by the Rev. Robb of Liberty. Burial was at the Union cemetery. Gibson and Son Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. 1942 Colored Woman Died Saturday Morning Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Spiritual Community church for Mrs. Maude R. Edgar, colored, 56 years old, who died at 9 o’clock Saturday morning. Burial will be at the City cemetery. Brothers Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements. 1942 Will Hold Rites For Colored Man Friday Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, at 2 o’clock for John Wesley Jacobs, colored, who died Tuesday morning at 10:45 o’clock at his home in Richmond. Burial will be at he City cemetery. Mansur Funeral Home will have charge of the arrangements. 1942 Mrs. Fannie Fravel Died Early Today at Richmond Hospital Mrs. Fannie E. Fravel died at 4 o’clock this morning at the Richmond hospial after one month’s illness. She was born July 27, 1871 near Morton, Ray County, a daughter of William Jackson Frazier of Anderson County, Kans., and Mary Ann Elizabeth (Rimmer) Frazier of Ray County, Mo. Mrs. Fravel, who was a member of the Methodist church, had lived in Ray County all of her life. She was married in 1910 to Perry M. Fravel of Richmond, who preceded her in death, April 15, 1929. She is survived by one son, John Franklin Fravel of the home; and two brothers, James Thomas Frazier of Dunning, Nebr., and John S. Frazier of the home. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Morton church with the Rev. E.J. Speer officiating. Burial will be at the Hickory Grove cemetery. Pallbearers are: Fred Frazier, Forrest Frazier, Earl Gibson, Oliver Strane, Ray Frazier, and James R. Broughton. Brothers Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. 1942 Held Services for William J. Nelson At Rayville Church Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Rayville Christian church for William Joshua Nelson who died at 10:10 o’clock on Monday, January 12, at his home, one mile east of Rayville. The service was conducted by the Rev. Leon Clevenger. Burial was at the Union cemetery. Brothers Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. He was married to Sarah Jane County, Missouri, a son of William Nelson of Alabama and Rachel (Hill) Nelson of Missouri, and had lived here all of his life. He as married Sarah Jane Sloan on September 29, 1885. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Delbert Nelson of Richmond and Henderson Nelson of Millville two daughters, Clara Branson of Cameron and Sally Albertson of Kansas City, Mo.; ten grand-children and eight great-grand-children. 1942 Services For Infant Girl Sunday An infant daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Reed J. Bowman of near Orrick Sunday morning. The baby lived only a few hours after birth. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Mason cemetery near Orrick. 1942 Held Services for W.F. Kallenberger Sunday Aafternoon Funeral services were held Sunday, January 18, at 2 o’clock for William Franklin Kallenberger of Hardin, Mo., who died at 4 o’clock Friday at his home. He had been suffering from heart disease for about two years. He was born January 6, 1867, near Hardin, a son of George Kallenberger and Bertha (Hileman) Kallenberger, both of Hamburg, Germany. He had lied in Hardin all his life. He was married March 1, 1905, to Matilda Wolf of Norborne, who survives him. He is also survived by one son, Marvin Kallenberger, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Rozella Norford, of New Hampton, Mo., and Mrs. Frances Meador of Kansas City; two brothers, John Kallenberger and George Kallenberger, both of Hardin; and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Kelso of Hardin and Mrs. Flora Lentz of Warrensburg; and three grandchildren. The Rev. O.G. Tiemann conducted the services. Burial was at the Lutheran cemetery at Norborne. Knipschild Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. 26 JAN 1942 Held Services for George P. Holman, 75 Sunday at Knoxville George P. Holman, 75 years old, died suddenly at the P.A. Sharp convalescent home, 421 Islye boulevard, Excelsior Springs, Friday afternoon. A sudden heart attack was given as the cause of his death. Mr. Holman was born in Ray County, January 21, 1867. he had been a resident of Excelsior Springs since September 2. Previous to that he lived on a farm in western Ray. He was a member of the Baptist church. Funeral serices were conducted at the graveside at Knoxville cemetery at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. F.A. Henry of Lawson conducted the services.
