Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Mrs. James E. Ball (1895- Unknown newspaper Mrs. J. E. Ball, 79, of Joplin died at the Freeman hospital there, Sunday at 4:00 a. m. She had been ill for several months. Dr. and Mrs. Ball just recently sold their home in Kansas City and moved to Joplin to be near their daughter. Mrs. Ball was born Oct. 5, 1895, in Ray County, the daughter of C. D. Wall and Laura (Woods) Wall, both of Ray County. She lived here until 1917. She was married to Dr. James E. Ball of Richmond in 1906 and he survives at the home. Also surviving Mrs. Ball are a daughter, Mrs. A. Fred Schafer of Joplin, three brothers, Ray Wall of Richmond, Willard Wall of Hardin and Virgil Wall of Kansas City, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Mansur of Columbia and one granddaughter, Mrs. Laura Lou Langston of Falls Church, VA. Mrs. Wall was a member of the South Prospect Avenue Methodist Church in Kansas City. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a. m., Tuesday at the Thurman funeral home with the Rev. Carl Hackman of the Richmond Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in City Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Ray Hughes, E. K. Wall, H. C. Wall, Eugene Wall, John R.
