Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Joseph E. Ball (~ 1823 - 1890) Richmond Conservator on December 4, 1890. Died. At his home in Richmond Tuesday, December 2nd, 1890 at 2 o'clock a. m. Joseph E. Ball, after a brief illness from pneumonia. The deceased was 67 years old, and resided in Ray county for many years. Was an industrious, honest man who attended strickly (sic) to his own business. He had just been elected coroner of Ray county, and had he lived would have taken charge of the office the first of January. The funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday morning by Rev. J. H. Ledbetter, pastor of the Methodist church, of which the deceased was a member, and his remains were taken to Todd's Chapel four miles west of Richmond for interment.
