Hardin News, Hardin, Missouri obit: Death of J.M. Edgar. Johnson M. Edgar, one of the well known residents of the Lakeview country, north west of Hardin, died at an early hour Monday morning, April 12th, at the home of his son, Wm. Edgar, following an extended illness with a complication of diseases due to old age infirmatives. Deceased was a native of Grayson County, Kentucky, and was born June 26th, 1836, therefore he had passed his eighty-third year. He was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Frank, September 9, 1858, and to this union eight children were born, the wife and three children having preceded him in death. The surviving children are: Wm. M. of this county, James M. of Carroll county, Sylvester, of Selma, Calif., Mrs. Susie Stewart of Ugene Oregon, and Mrs. Nettie L. Heisinger, of Selma California. He came to Missouri in 1870. His funeral service was held from the home of his son, Will Edgar Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock, conducted by Rev. G.C.
