Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Sarah J. (Tucker) Hall The following is from a clipping of the obituary of Sarah J. (Tucker) Hall: Mrs. Sarah J. Hall, 86 years old, a lifelong resident of Orrick, Mo., died last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Scott, in Orrick, according to word received by relatives here today. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Hall was the widow of W. A. Hall, an Orrick merchant and Civil war lieutenant, who died twenty years ago. Ten of Mrs. Hall's eleven children survive her. Besides the daughter, she leaves three other daughters, Mrs. I. M. Scott, 416 South Lawn avenue; Mrs. Omer McGinnis and Mrs. James E. Taylor, both of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and six sons, Andrew E. Hall and Roland Hall, both of Orrick; Ben Hall and Phillip Hall, both of Excelsior Springs; W. A. Hall, Jr., of Altimont, Mo., and Joseph Hall of North Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the home in Orrick. Sons of Mrs. Hall will be pallbearers. The following is from an obituary of Sarah Jane Hall: Services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Hall Held Today. Lifetime Ray Countian, 86, Died At Home of Daughter Near Orrick Monday. Services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Hall, 86, were held at the Union Baptist Church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Arthur Crum officiated. Good Funeral Home of Orrick was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Riffe Cemetery. Pallbearers were her six sons and their wives acted as flower girls. Mrs. Hall was born in Ray county, March 21, 1862, and had lived her lifetime near Orrick. She was a daughter of Daniel H. Tucker of Virginia, and Millie (Elliott) Tucker of Camden, MO. She was a member of the Union Baptist church near Orrick. She was married May 7, 1879 to W. A. Hall of Orrick who died June 17, 1929. She is survived by ten children, six sons and four daughters. They are: A. E. and Roland Hall of Orrick, Ben and Phillip D. Hall of Excelsior Springs, W. A. Hall of Altamont, Mo., Joe P. Hall of North Kansas City; Mrs. Ruth Scott of Orrick, Mrs. Jewell Vivian Scott of Kansas City, Mrs. Mattie McGinnis of Excelsior Springs and Mrs. Millie Taylor of Lawson.
