Holman taken from The Missourian, Richmond, Missouri Thursday, Nov. 17, 1932 Pg. 7 Taken from an old family scrapbook of Mrs. Joseph Oossage, Richmond, MO of local life and tragedy in the Richmond and Ray country of other days. E. J. Holman died Friday night of Mar 17, 1882 (date taken from The Missourian Thur. May 24, 1917, obit of Ella Holman) of congestion of the lungs, passing away in the vigor of early manhood, after an illness of but a few days. He was the eldest son of W.R. Holman, born and brought up in Richmond, MO., had filled the office of City Marshal two terms. Buried by the Odd Fellows, Reverend C. Grimes officiating as chaplain. Mr. Holman was Vice-Grand of Colfax Lodge of Richmond Odd Fellows at the time of his death.
