Richmond Missourian, Richmond, Missouri com. obit: Jane Linney. Once more has the death angel entered our home and this time taken our dear mother. Only forty-one days ago we were called upon to mourn the loss of our dear little Viola. Surely the ways of Providence are past our understanding. Jane Linney was born at Fairview, Mo., Nov. 12, 1844; was married to J.H. McGlothlin, on March 3, 1870. To this union four children were born: Ida May Petree, Mary Alma Ballew, Roy G. McGlothlin, one having died in infancy. She departed this life, March 20, 1920, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Alma Ballew. The deceased united with the South Methodist church in her youth, to which she ever remained faithful. She realized the end of the journey was near and told her family she was ready to go. She leaves three children, eight grand children, two great grand children, an aged sister, Mrs. Anna Keel, and a host of friends to mourn their loss. After an impressive sermon by Rev. Farr Coffman the body was laid to rest in the New Hope cemetery beside her beloved husband, who had preceeded her in death some six years. She departed this life forever, At rest in the Shepherd’s fold. Waiting for friends and loved ones To meet her in the streets of gold. Gone to a land of sunshine, Gone to a land so fair. Nothing but joy and happiness, Can enter over there. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jenna Zunker USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
