Moyer, 78, 834 East North Main Street, Richmond, died at 12:55 a.m., Monday, Jan. 13, 1986 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends between 7 and 9 o’clock this (Tuesday) evening at the Gowing-Snow Funeral Home in Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lexington Church of God with the Rev. Robert Welker officiating. Burial will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Lexington Church of God building fund. Mr. Moyer was born Feb. 2, 1907 in northern Ray County, the son of Jesse A. and Ivy May (Glenn) Moyer. He had lived in Ray and Lafayette Counties all of his life. He was married to Leona Davidson, Richmond, March 2, 1941. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a niece, Mrs. Don Carpenter, Greeley, CO. Mr. Moyer was a member and elder of the Lexington Church of God. He was also a member of the Richmond and Lexington Lions Clubs and Missouri State Governor, Lions Clubs, in 1960 and 1961. He owned the Lexington Laundry Service for 27 years.
