Hickory Grove Cemetery nee: McFee Mrs. Louella Peet Died Sunday After Taking Poison Mrs. Louella Peet, 22 years old, died at 8 o'clock Sunday evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed Estenbaum of northeast of Richmond as a result of acute phosphorous poisoning. It is said she took a spoonful of rat poison o n a sandwich about 10 p.m. Friday and not feeling any results in a short time took another sandwich with a teaspoonful of the same poison. Her sister went to Kansas City on Thursday to be gone until Sunday and Mrs. Peet was to take care of the children. About 2 o'clock Saturday morning, she woke one of the children to go for her mother who lives on the Carney Ogg farm. The mother gave her an emetic and it was reported the contents from her stomach glowed with phosphorous. A local physician was called Saturday morning. Mrs. Peet was born February 13, 1923 at Cowgill, a daughter of Efton McFee of Hamilton and Mamie (Wright) McFee of Braymer. She had lived in Ray county for the past 15 years. She was married to Paul Beazley and later divorced him. In November 1944 she was married to Raymond Peet, who is with the U.S. Army in the Pacific area. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Peet,; two children by the former marriage, Truman and Paula Beazley; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Efton McFee; three brother, Lloyd McFee of the U.S. Army, Junior McFee and Rollins McFee, and six sisters, Mrs. Leroy Swafford, Mrs. Ed Estenbaum, Mrs. Marvin Garrett, Wilma McFee, Rosettie McFee and Vera McFee all of Richmond. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Brothers Quest funeral home. The Rev. Garrett will be in charge of the services.
