Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Harriett Tarwater Scott d. 1930 Mrs. Silas Scott Dead Harriett Tarwater Scott was born Feb. 7, 1861 and died Feb. 15, 1930 at the age of 69 years and eight days. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Betsy Tar water, pioneer settlers of this community. She was born on a farm northwest of Orrick and grew to womanhood there and united with the Baptist church at a very early age. At the age of eighteen, she was a married to Silas K. Scott on March 9, 1879. To this union were born nine children. Two, an infant and a boy four months old preceded her in death. The remaining children are: Mrs. Eliza Blain of Warrensburg, Mo., George Scott of Orrick, Claude Scott of Richmond, Mrs. L. E. Ellis, of Orrick, Ralph Scott of Kansas City, Fred Scott of Okla homa City, Okla., and Murel Scott of Kansas City. There are twenty-three grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
