Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Robert C. Snowden d. 1963 The Ray County Conservator, Monday, January 14, 1963 Robert C. Snowden, 57, of 519 East Lexington street, Richmond, died Friday at 10:00 p. m., at the St. Luke's hospital, Kansas City, following a series of heart attacks. He was born Dec. 24, 1905, in Richmond, the son of Irvin C. Snowden and Zula D. (Ralph) Snowden, both of Richmond. A lifelong resident of Richmond he was a member of the Richmond Methodist church, A. F. and A. M. lodge No. 57 and Ararat Shrine temple. He served as Richmond mayor for two terms 1945 to 1949, and was a former councilman. He had served on the Ridhmond Board of Education and was president of the board from 1958 to 1960. He was also associated with his father in the grocery business here for several years and was a district salesman for Pratt and Lambert, Inc., at the time of his death. On Dec. 26, 1926, he was married to Blanche A. Sisk of Henrietta. Surviving ate the widow of the home; one son, Robert Elton Snowden of Hannibal; one daughter, Mrs. James Pack of Columbia; three grandchildren, ! Robert Elton Snowden, jr., of Hannibal, and Piper Ann and Timothy Eugene Pack of Columbia. Memorial services were held today at 2:00 p. m. at the Richmond Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Earl Griffith, Interment was in City cemetery, under the direction of the Thurman funeral home.
