Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Daniel Watkins d. October 9, 1883 com. [probably Moses Daniel Watkins, buried in Watkins-Allen Cemetery] Richmond Democrat 10 OCT 1883 Died Last night, Daniel Watkins, died at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Henrietta Watkins, 8 miles south east of town, after a few weeks illness, from Typhoid fever. He was only 23 years old, just entering upon man’s estate, a young man of commendable morals, exceptionable integrity, and had a bright future before him. He was companionable with all and dearly beloved by his associates, and his loss will be keenly felt. Truly evidence accumulate every day that we are not here to stay and we should so live as to be prepared to go. His funeral will be preached at 2 o’clock p.m., to-morrow (Friday), and his remains laid to rest in the family burying ground on the farm of Mr. Jesse Murry. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives bys: Jenna Zunker USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
