Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Wall, Wade d. date b. d. cem. nee: pd. p. Ray County Conservator com. obit: Death of Wade Wall. Last Saturday Wade Wall, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of Ray county, died at his home, near Morton, very suddenly from an attack of paralysis at the age of 83 years. Some months ago the deceased had a partial stroke of paralysis, but so far recovered as to be able to attend to business and occasionally did some work on the farm. On Friday previous to this death he was at work and apparently in good health. The deceased was an old settler of that section of the county and was well known and highly respected by all. He raised a large family of children, who live in different parts of the county, all of whom are good citizens. He was a man of unusual energy and industry, and strictly honest and conscientious in his dealings with his fellow men, and by strict economy succeeded in accumulating quite an estate, and did much to give his children an education and start in life, and better than all, he left them an example worthy to be followed and patterned after. Funeral services were held Sunday, after which the remains were buried by those who had been his neighbors and friends during his long residence among them. His family and relatives have our profound sympathy in their hour of sorrow and affliction. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jenna Zunker USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
