Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Wilder, Samuel d. June 3, 1893 b. about 1822 d. June 3, 1893 cem. nee: pd. p. Ray County Conservator com. obit: Died At the home of his son-in-law, S.L. Bay, in Richmond, on Saturday, June 3rd, 1893, Samuel Wilder, in his seventy first year of rheumatism of the heart. The deceased had been suffering very much this Spring from rheumatism and on Saturday morning few much worse, and between 2 and 3 o’clock the family were aroused by him. Mr. Bay went immediately for a doctor, but it was too late, the fatal moment had come and death claimed its victim. The deceased would have been 71 years old in July, had he lived. He was the father of a large family of children, six of whom are now living, Mrs. S.L. Bay of this city being one of the number. His remains were taken to Lawson Sunday morning for burial. The funeral sermon was preaced Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. J.H. Ledbetter of this city.
