Ray County, Missouri Obituaries - Wainright, Mr. d. date b. d. cem. Lexington Cemetery nee: pd. p. Ray County Conservator com. obit: A Sudden Death. Last Sunday morning, Mr. ---- Wainright, father of A.G. Wainright, died suddenly at the home of his son on east Main street. After eating breakfast he had gone up to his room to change clothes and appeared in unusually cheerful spirits. Some time after he had gone up stairs his little grandson followed him to borrow his knife and found him sitting in a chair, apparently asleep. The boy did not disturb him then, but came back in an hour or two to call him to dinner and found him still sitting in the same position. He attempted to awaken him but found that he was dead. Death was caused by blood clot on the brain. Mr. Wainright was 84 years of age, and was well known to most of our older citizens. He had been living with his son since the latter located in this city, but had formerly lived in Lafayette county. His remains were taken to Lexington on Monday for interment in the cemetery at that place. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Jenna Zunker USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free genealogical information on the Internet, data may be freely used for personal research and by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
