Mangus Bros. Drug Company-a company composed of Dr. C. W. Mangus and his brother, W. F. Mangus. Dr. C. W. Mangus was born in Louisiana, February 16th, 1860 and, with his parents moved to Saline County, Mo., in 1866. He was educated at the State University and afterwards graduated at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Louis, Mo., and taking a full course at the latter place. During the year 189? He located at Clark, Randolph county, Missouri for the purpose of practicing his profession. William F. Mangus was born in Louisiana. He graduated at Cambridge High School and then entered the railway service and for years acted as station agent at Farber, Armstrong and Marshall always discharging his duty in a prompt, correct manner. Shortly after Dr. C. W. Mangus located in Clark, he was joined by his brother, W. F. Mangus and together, they started a drug store at that place, which they successfully conducted since 1891, until their removal to this place, a little over one year ago. On September 21st, 1897, these gentlemen came to Moberly and opened a wholesale drug store in the Rothwell building. On account of their prompt, square dealing with their patrons, their close attention to business and their knowledge of their business, their trade in a short time grew to such proportions that a larger house was an absolute necessity. “Their business had expanded”.
