Singer, Paymaster of the U. S. Army, was murdered and robbed in Salina county a few days since. He had in his possession $160,000 and was on his way in the upper part of this State to pay the volunteers their three months extra pay. His wife and sister-in-law were in company with him, who were also murdered. It is supposed he was murdered by the soldiers who were acting as an escort. [St. Joseph Gazette.
