Shelby County, Missouri Obituary - Andrew McBroom Shelbina Democrat, May 5, 1870: ®517 Died of cancer of his face, at the house of his son, P.G. McBroom, Andrew McBroom, in the eighty-sixth year of his age. The cancer, for three years, was slowly eating and spreading, until it destroyed his nose entirely. Some six weeks before his death he was confined to the house, and during the last ten days, to his bed. From the time he ceased visiting among his children and grandchildren, he was tenderly and carefully waited upon day and night by P.G. McBroom and wife, till his death at noon on Tuesday the 26th of April 1870. He endured his affliction patiently. He was a member of the M.E.
