Bryan and Robert Rose, Published by Bryan, Brand & Co., St. Louis Missouri, 1876. ********************************************************************** William Coshow, a native of Wales, married Mary Hughes, an Irish girl, and, emigrating to America, settled in North Carolina. He went with Daniel Boone on one of his expeditions to Kentucky, and was killed by the Indians at the head of the Kentucky River. He had but one child, a son, named William. His widow married Jonathan Bryan, several years after the death of her first husband, and they came to St. Charles County, Missouri in 1800. Her son was raised by his step father who loved him as one of his own children. He served in the war against the Indians, and afterwards married Elizabeth Zumwalt, of St. Charles County.
