Bryan and Robert Rose, Published by Bryan, Brand & Co., St. Louis Missouri, 1876. ********************************************************************** James Campbell, of Scotland, settled in Essex County, Virginia, and married a Miss Montague. They had only one child, James Jr., when Mr. Campbell died, and his widow married a Mr. Stubbs, of Richmond. James Jr., married Lucinda S. Gautkins, of Virginia, and they had ten child- ren: Mary M., Thacker, Charles G., Nancy H., Catharine L., James E., Elijah F., John, Caroline and Lucy H. Mrs. Campbell died, and her husband was married a second time to Catharine Heihm, of Lynchburg. He was a soldier in the War of 1812, and died in 1872, in his eighty fifth year.
