Sketch of the Millington Family, St. Charles County, Missouri

Dr. Jerry Millington, and his brothers, Seth and Ira, were natives of
the State of New York.  They settled in St. Charles County at a very
early date, and the Doctor was the first physician that located in 
that county.  Seth Millington settled on a farm in 1818, and planted
a large orchard.  He also planted mulberry trees, and procured silk
worms and made silk.  Ira was a wheel wright, and built the first shop
of that kind in St. Charles.
