St. Charles County, Missouri Deeds - Coonce, Williams, Votaw Deed Record H-pages 338-339 – St. Charles County, Missouri This Deed made and entered into this twenty eighth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight, by and between John Votaw and Polly his wife of the first part and Phillip Cooce of the Second part, all of the State of Mpouri County of St. Louis, witnesseth: that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty dollars by the said second party, to them in hand paid, the receipt of which ?so sum They do hereby acknowledge, have this day given, granted, bargained Sold and delivered, and do by these presents give grant bargain and Sell and deliver unto the said Phillip Coonce an undivided fourth part of all the Town Lots in the Village of St. Charles in the State aforesaid which was owned by John Coons deed the father of the said Polly Votaw within named at the time of his death supposed to be four in number To Have and to hold the said undivided one fourth interest of said of John Votaw and Polly his wife unto the said Lots, against the Claim or Claims of all persons, claiming by through or under them and none other. In testimony whereof me have hereunto set our hands, and affixed our seals the day and Year first above mittens, Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of John Votaw seal Larkin Williams her Polly X Votaw seal mark State of Missouri County of St. Louis Be it remembered that on this twenty eighth day of October, in the Year of Our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty eight before me a justice of the peace, within and for the County aforesaid, Personally came John Votaw and Polly his wife, both personally known to me, to be persons, whose names are subscribed, to the foregoing instrument, of writing, as having executed the same and severally acknowledged the same to be their act and Dee, for the purposes therein mentioned, she the said Polly, being by me first made acquainted with the contents thereof, and examined separate and apart from her husband whether she executed the said Deed, and relinquishes her Dower to said Lots and tenements therein mentioned, Voluntarily, freely and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband-Taken & Certified this day Therefore above mention C. Deed Record H-pages 339-340 – St. Charles County, Missouri This Deed made and entered into this twentieth day of October in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight by and between Landon Williams & Elizabeth Williams his wife of the first part and Phillip Coonce of the Second part, all of the State of Mpouri Witnepeth; that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty Dollars by the said Second party to them in hand, paid the receipt of which ?so sum is here by acknowledged, have this day bargained, sold, and delivered, and do by these presents bargain, sell, & deliver unto the said Phillip Coonce an undivided fourth part of all the Town Lots in the Village of St. Charles which was owned by John Coonce deceased the father of Said Elizabeth Williams at the time of his death, supposed to be four Lots in number, To Have and to hold the said undivided one fourth interest of said Landon Williams & Elizabeth his wife, unto the said Lots, against the Claim or claims of all persons, claiming, by through or under them & none other In testimony whereof me have hereunto set our hands and seals the day & year above mention in the presence of Sam Woodson his Landon X Williams seal mark her Elizabeth X Williams seal mark State of Mpouri County of Jefferson Be it remembered that on this 20th day of October in the Year 1828 before me a justice of the peace, within and of the County aforesaid personally came Landon Williams & Elizabeth (Williams is crossed out) his wife, both personally known to me to be the persons whose names are subscribed, to the foregoing instrument affirming as having executed for the purposes therein mentioned; she the said Elizabeth being by me first made acquainted whit the contents thereof, and examined separate and apart from her husband whether she executed the said deed and relinquishes her dower to the Lots and tenements therein mentioned Voluntarily freely and without compulsion or undue influence of her said Husband acknowledged and Declaimed, that she executed the said Deed & relinquishes her dower in the said Lots of Land therein mentioned, voluntarily freely, and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband Taken & certified the day & year aforesaid B.
