Hannibal Journal April 8, 1847
While in St. Louis, on Monday last, we learned that a young man from St. 
Charles co., named James G. Edwards, committed suicide on the evening before, 
by cutting his throat with a razor.  It is said that Mr. C was a highly 
respectable young man, and that a reverse in financial matters led to the 
perpetration of the rash act.

Additional Comments:
Note that the middle initial could have been a C. or a G.  The reference to 
Mr. C is as it appears in the article.
