Bell PLEASANT GROVE TOWNSHIP: Miss Orpha Simmons spent Friday night and Saturday with Miss La-Ura Ethridge. Miss Lena Revis and daughter Myrtle called on Mrs. Lendal Jones Sunday to see Barbra Allen who is sick. C. B. Cockrell and wife went Monday to see his mother Mrs. Bassett and his brother Magness Cockrell and wife, who live near Appleton City. Sunday visitors at James Baker's were her sister, Mrs. C. B. Cockrell and husband and brother James Ethridge and wife. Mildred Porter had school Saturday to make up her vacation Christmas. Leonard Welsh helped Ferrel G. Gatewood butcher Wednesday. VISTA ITEMS: Evan Lawler was transacting business in Clinton Saturday. Mrs. Ann Redman, of Osceola spent Wednesday with Mrs. Nancy McCoy. Mrs. Jap Bishop visited in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Opal Henslick, of Hume. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, of Collins, and Burnie Peery, were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Elliott. Virgil O. Dryer went to Kansas City Monday night with a truck load of live stock. He was accompanied by Dick Elliott. Evan Lawler and Dave Rainey were attending to business last week in the vicinity of Ohio P. O. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Kelley spent Sunday with Mrs. S. E. and Cora Duckworth at Osceola. Mrs. Clyde Polson of Osceola, and Mrs. Ella Blakley were Sunday afternoon visitors in the Cal Stubbs home. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Salmon spent the week end with relatives and friends at Creighton. Mrs. Tamp Elliott, daughters, and Mrs. Fred Elliott were Saturday visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Elliott. Mr. and Mrs. Winston Lynes of Springfield accompanied by his sister, of Oklahoma, drove up Sunday to bring Mrs. J. M. Freeman home, who had spent the past two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Lyons. John Snyder and son, of Lowry were in this vicinity Friday buying mules. Mr. Salmon sold them a span. Sunday guests of Mrs. Nancy McCoy were her daughter, Mrs. J. A. George and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Morrow, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hambly, of Osceola. Some moving has been taking place the past week and this week Ben Kauffman moved from the Silas Brown place to the Bill Truitt farm near Collins. Harry Melloy will live on the Charles Baumgarden farm, formerly known as the Will Coffey place. Dr. Frank Graham moved from the W. D. Bridges property to the Vannice building where the post office formerly was, Clyde Parker will move to the Bridges property vacated by Dr. Graham, and we understand that Clay Lane and family will soon move from the Wagoner farm to a farm near Lowry City. Lloyd Bishop and family will live on the Jerry Bishop farm on King's Prairie. Mr. and Mrs. George Reynolds, Mrs. Vesta Gordon and Cal Stubbs were transacting business at Osceola Monday. PRAIRIE HOME: The sun was shining bright Monday morning. Soon be time for moving as February is a short month. Mrs. Tamer Grass visited Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. W. E. Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wilkerson and son Fred visited Saturday night in the Will Moore home. Mr. Wilkerson is going to move on the Sagaser place. We understand Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bowden are going to move on the Page place. Jim Pierce and Charley Bowden made a trip to Kansas City Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Mistler spent Friday at the Burnice Mistler home. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Woody are the proud parents of a 10 lb. boy born Saturday morning. Junior Grass spent Saturday night with Bob Dain. We were sorry to hear of the death of Aunt Sarah Parks last Friday. The funeral was held at the Parks cemeteray Saturday afternoon. Wilma Capps spent Thursday night with Virginia Mistler. Mrs. Tobe Allen and little son of near Collins visited a few days the past week with relatives. Her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Brown Higgins returned home with her Saturday. Mrs. W. E. Moore spent Saturday with Mrs. L. O. Capps and helped quilt. SQUARE PRAIRIE: Mr. and Mrs. Martin and son spent Saturday night with Mrs. Martin's brother A. E. Harbin, of King's Prairie. They all went to a big party Saturday night. Mrs. Cyler spent Sunday with Mrs. Todd. Mrs. Dan Troyer went to El Dorado to visit friends and relatives from Saturday until Monday. The Ladies Aid met with Mrs. Cylers last Thursday afternoon. They will meet at Mrs. Day Toyer's this Thursday. Miss Myrtle Larkins spent the week end with home folks. Bert St. James of Springfield the tie boss, is out in this neighborhood looking about buying some more timber to saw into ties. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Harlin were shopping in Osceola Saturday. Mrs. Webb spent Sunday afternoon at Miss Sealeman's.
