Of 5 & 25 Years Ago (5 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK) Thursday, September 26, 1946 The home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Underwood was the scene of a very pleasant gathering Sunday, in honor of the birthday of their grandson, Maurice Underwood. Bert Conrad spent Monday in Warrensburg where he attended an insurance meeting. Mrs. Alma Pippenger took tow cars of Yough Fellowship members to a Youth Rally and Singspiration held at Butler Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Baumgarden called in the Earnest Masten residence Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Harms and family visited Miss Elsie and Aubrey Smith Monday evening. TABERVILLE: Mrs. Fanny Dodds Sunday school and preaching services were well attended at the L.D.S. Church Sunday morning. Bro. Donald Kaiser was the speaker. The many friends of Dan Waters will be saddened to hear of his death. Mr. Waters passed away about 7:00 Sunday night. Those spending the day with Mrs. Bill Puriton Friday were Mrs. Jessie Ingalls, Mrs. Clayt [sic] Purinton [sic], and Mrs. Nora Allison. The Happy Neighbor Club met in the Charles Merchant home Friday. Quite a number were present. A delicious dinner was served at noon. Several of the young folks ate dinner in the N. E. Allinson home Sunday.
