It was established in 1877 and contains numerous tombstones scattered among the trees. The 1.81 acres were purchased by the Order of Haraguri Einigkeits Lodge No. 342 des Deutschen from Henry and Anna Seibel. Thr Order of Haruguri was a secret society named for an ancient order of German knighthood. At one time, there were 22 Harugari lodges in St. Louis.
