Glasgow, on Fourth Street, opened the front door of his residence, he found two bundles deposited in the recess. Supposing them to belong to some street walker, he gave the first a kick, which sent it into the street; and in the act of serving the other in the same way, he discovered that it contained an infant. On taking the child up, it was found to be a beautiful little girl, a few hours old, with black hair and blue eyes, rather neatly clad. The bundle kicked into the street, contained a quantity of clothing, from the marks on some of which, it is probable, the cruel mother may yet be detected. At the time the infant was found, it is supposed that it was laboring under the influence of some drug. It has been placed under the care of the nurse, and will be properly attended to, whilst no effort will be left untried to find out the parent who so unnaturally abandoned it. Mo. Repub.
