Robbie was united in marriage to Harold W. Hammett on November 21, 1941. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband on September 11, 1993; daughter, Wanda Jean Short; an infant daughter, Robin; grandson, Randy; three brothers, Lavea, Vance and Joe Lee; one sister, Ada Pearl Reary and two infant siblings. Robbie is survived by her son, Robert 'Bob' Hammett and wife, Carolyn, of Pacific; daughter, Patricia Robinson and partner, Charlotte Gilbert, of Byrnes Mills; Daniel Crosby of Hallsville, Missouri, who was a son in Robbie's heart; son-in-law, Richard Short, of St. Peters; brother Levon Ferguson, of Belleville, Illinois; sister, Laverne Weatherly, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Robbie was a member of Second Baptist Church in Salem. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be sadly missed by all who loved her.Services: Funeral service for Robbie L. Hammett was 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2006 at Dent County Memorial Chapel with Dale Kirkendoll officiating. Music was provided by Hank Oplinger as pianist and Scott Ferguson as soloist. Pallbearers were Dan Crosby, Emmett Reary, Larry Weatherly, Joe Kuntz, Garry Weatherly and Earl Hall III. Interment was in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, St. Ann, Missouri with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2006.
