Louis William Masterson, 74 passed away at the Reynolds County Memorial
Hospital, Friday, Aug. 26.

Masterson was born near Dexter on Jan. 28, 1909. He lived in the Dexter
community until 1952 when he moved to Ellington. He was a retired farmer.

On Nov. 3, 1928 he married Gertie Mae Pullum, who preceded him in death on
Jan. 24, 1983.

Surviving him are six sons, Arthur Masterson, John Masterson, Frank
Masterson, Floyd Masterson and Fred Masterson, all of Ellington, and Gene
Masterson of Little Rock, Ark.; five daughters, Geneva Duncan of Little
Rock, Ruth Beck of Ellington, Mary Dollins of Kennett, Edna Elles and
Carzenia Sadler, both of Dexter; 27 Grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren;
one brother, Adam Masterson of Dexter; four sisters, Mae Ridenour, Ella
Casey, Sophia Deason and Mary Fairchild, all of Dexter.

The funeral was Sunday, Aug. 28, 1983 with the Rev. Everett Freeman of
Ellington officiating. Burial was in Sadler Chapel Cemetery in near
Dexter."
