He was a retired owner and operator of Hills Store. He was born in Parma on March 6, 1903, and lived there all his life. Mr. CULBERTSON graduated from the University of Missouri in 1929. On February 19, 1929, he married MARY JOSEPHINE AKE. She died on November 25, 1960. Survivors include one son, JAMES W. AKE of Creve Coeur; one daughter, Verna Lutrell of Kirkwood; one sister, VERNA GAINES of Parma; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Jenny was a faithful member of the First General Baptist Church. Mrs. Chron was an employee of AC Spark Plug for many years. She nd her husband were owners of Jenny's Club Car on S. Saginaw St. for 25 yrs and she was also owner of Fisher Pantry for an number of years. Survivors include: 2 sons, Bill and wife Mildred Chron of Burton, and Ron Chron and companion Jude Irwin, both of Grand Blanc. 6 grandchildren Jim Chron, Terry Chron, Judy Thibeault, Kathy Dawson, Perry Chron and Pam Borrow; 10 gr-grandchild, 6 gr-gr-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lucille Anderson, former daughter-in-law Marian Chron, several nieces and nephews. GISI, daughter of the late DAVID RUSH MORRISON and JOSEPHINE REED MORRISON, was born in St. Mary’s , Missouri on April 21, 1892, and died in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, on April 10, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 19 days. She was United in marriage to EDMOND P. GISI at St. Mary’s, Missouri on November 19, 1915,  and to this union nine children were born. Mr. GISI preceded her in death on June 10, 1946. Mrs. GISI moved with her husband  to a farm south-east of Essex immediately after her marriage, and in which place she spent the remainder of her life in the same house to which she moved. Mrs. GISI was a member of Trotter General Baptist Church. She is survived by six sons, GLENNON GISI of St. Louis, CHARLES, RAYMOND, and HAROLD GISI  all of Essex. EUGENE and WILBERT GISI both of Dexter, Missouri; by three daughters, Mrs.  ETHEL FRENCH of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Mrs. MARTHA JO HICE of Gurnee, Illinois; and Mrs. STELLA JENNINGS of Dexter, Missouri; by 22 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; by six sisters, Mrs. MAE BROWN and Mrs. CARA GISI both of Perryville, Mrs. ALMA JUENGER, Mrs. CLARA BEHRLE, and Mrs. LENNIE BLAIR all of St. Louis, and Mrs.  CORENE DOBBS  of DeSoto, a number of other relatives and many friends. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of UAW Local 25. She was born Oct. 26, 1931 near Essex and lived in the area most of her life. She was a member of Boyt General Baptist Church. On March 19, 1954 she was married to MORRIS HAMPTON at Dexter.
