LEE A. ("DICK") MARTIN- son of JOHN CLEVELAND & MAUD ELIZABETH (ICE) MARTIN

STREET, Earl Tremayne, was born October 31, 1911 at the West Pleasant Valley
Community near Bloomfield, MO and departed this life August 2, 2000 at the
St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.
He was united in marriage to Wanda Marie Cook on August 1, 1931 at Bell
City, MO. Earl was the son of the late Lloyd Ancil Street and Alma Ella
Chasteen-Street, and the grandson of the late Lawson Lafayette Street and
Margaret Elizabeth Poe-Street, and the late Rev. Nelius C. Chasteen and Mary
Jane Proffer-Chasteen, all of whom were early settlers in Stoddard Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grand-parents, and five sisters,
Berneice and Mary Street who died at a young age, Pansy Unger, Evelyn
Johnson, Flora Hardy
and by one brother, Ray Street.
Survivors include one daughter and her spouse and two sons and their
spouses: Bob and Dolores Street-Montgomery of Kennett, MO, Tremayne and
Emily F. Street of Bloomfield, MO and Edwin and Alice Street of Eddyville,
KY, and by one sister, Mildred Louise Loos of Cape Girardeau, MO, and two
brothers, Carl Street of Bloomfield, MO and Ancil Street of Center, GA.
Seven grandchildren also survive: Rhenda Montgomery-Tharp of St. Charles,
MO, Dr. Lynn Montgomery of Oklahoma City, OK, Paula Street-Eubanks of
Dexter, MO, Tom & Elizabeth Street of Bloomfield, MO, Natalie Street-Cain of
Essex, MO and Dr. Jason Street of Farmington, MO, and one step-grandchild,
Shawn Haney-Butler, of St. Charles, MO.
Ten Great Grandchildren also survive: Leiah and Michael Tharp of St.Charles,
MO, Shana and Shane Eubanks of Dexter, MO, Brad and Jenneca Montgomery of
Oklahoma City, OK, Erica and Zachary Cain of Essex, MO, Blake Kimbrough and
Emily Hayes of Bloomfield, MO, and one step great-grandchild, Ian Butler of
St. Charles, MO.
Mr. Street grew up in the West Pleasant Valley community and made his home
at Bloomfield, MO for about 70 years. He drove a cattle truck and survived
the Great Depression. He owned a concrete block and lumber business, and
later drove a school bus for Bloomfield Public Schools, and was co-owner
with his son, Tremayne, of Street’s Auto Parts and Service Station in
Bloomfield preceding his retirement in the 1970’s.
He expressed faith and hope in Christ, but was not a member of any
denomination.
Visitation is set for Friday from 6-8pm. at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in
Bloomfield. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 5, at 10:30am with
Rev. Vyron Yount officiating. Burial will be at the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Tom Street, Jason Street, Shane Eubanks, Eddy Eubanks,
Michael Tharp, and Leroy Tharp.
