Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Record Book of Wills in the County of Stoddard, Missouri Book A, pg. 10 & 11 I Jacob Taylor of the county of Stoddard and State of Missouri being of Sound Mind do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say first it is my Will that all my expenses and Just debts shall be paid second I give devise and bequeath to Daniel A. Taylor eldest Son of Benjamin Taylor my deceased Son five Dollars. Third I give devize and bequeath to John D. Taylor Son of Benjamin Taylor my deceased Son the sum of Five Dollars. Fourth I give and bequeath to Henry Taylor Son of Benjamin Taylor my said Deceased Son five Dollars and it is my Will that the said Daniel A., John D. and Henry Taylor be precluded from any further benefit of my Estate. Fifth I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth two hundred dollars and it is my Will that after Said two hundred dollars together with other legacies mentioned in this my last Will and testament are deducted that my said Daughter Elizabeth do have and shear an equal perportion of my imaproperated property & Estate with my other heirs at Law. Sixth I give devize and bequeath to my Sons John, William, Jacob, Hamilton and my daughter Nancy all my Slaves to be equally divided between them according to value and it is my will that they Shear an equal proportion with my other children in all my imaproprated property and Estate. Seventh it is my will that Moses Norman continue to hold the stock that I have let to him according to contract which is that he have the stock ranging about him and North of him during the term of five years and return me the original Stock and two thirds of the Increase at wich time it is my will that they follow the ordinary distribution of my imaproprated property lastly I hereby constitute my wife Salie Taylor my son Philip Taylor and my Son in Law Henry Mayer to be the Executors of my last Will and testament revoking and annulling all former Wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal this Seventh day of May in the year of Our lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine.
