Hail of the county of Stoddard in the State of Missouri do Make and publish this my last will and testament in the manor and following, That is to say first It is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. Second I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Emeline Hail in lieu of her dower the plantation on which we now reside Situated in Stoddard County containing Forty acres during her widowhood also one gray mare and all My cattle and sheep. Third, I give and devise unto my eldest daughter Mary An Marilla Hail the South forty acres of land of lot No. Five, one bed and bedding and Stead and belonging to her mother one Side Saddle. Fourth I give and devise unto My Son James Lafayette Hail the North forty acres of lot No. Five & all my Stocks of hogs. Fifth, I want my daughter Mary An Hail to live with her grand Father and grand mother during their lives. And lastly Thereby constitute and appoint Jiles Draper to be the executor to this and no other to be my last will and testament, being of Sound mind. Hale now deceased did on the thirteenth day of July in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty publish the within and foregoing as his last will and testament that he was then of Sound and disposing mind and Memory, that he Subscribed the Same in our presence and that we signed our names as Witnesses to the Same at the request and in the presence of the said testator and also in the presence of each other and that said testator then and there declared same to be his last will and testament.
