Johnson of the county of Cape Girardeau in the Sate of Missouri do make and publish this my last will and testament, in mannor and form that is to say 1st First It is My will that that my funeral expenses and all all my just debts be fully paid 2ed second I give desire and bequeath to my Brother Charles H. Johnston the som of ten dollars 3ed Third I give desire and bequeath to Brother Rleh J. Johnston to sum of ten dollars. 4th Fourth I give desire and bequeath to my Nephew William M. Foster the sum of ten dollars 5th fifth I give desire and bequeath to my Sister Margaret O. Johnson all the residue of my estate both real, and personal, and further it is my will that My Executor shall first dispose stock & farming utensil by selling at public auction or so much of the same as shall be requisite for the purposes of paying my Debts and the legacies herein before bequeathed and that the remainder shall be for the use and benefit forever of my sister Margaret O. Johnston as aforesaid. And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend David C. Hope to be the Executor of this My last Will and testament revoking and annulling former wills by me made. And ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fifth day of November AD 1854. John B. Henderson who being Solemnly Sworn makes oath that John B. Johnston signed stated and published the will an... to this commission as his last will and testament and that he was of sound and disposing mind and memory that he the said James C. Henderson subscribed his name their unto in the presence and at the request of the said John B. Johnston the testator. James C. Henderson swore to and subscribed undersigned Justice of the Peace within and for the county of Cape Girardeau . Sworn under My hand this 26th day of October AD 1855 David C. Hope Justice of the peace State of Missouri, Cape Girardeau County Be it remembered that on this twenty sixth day of October AD Eighteen hundred and fifty five personally came before me the undersigned Justice of the peace within and for said county John H.
