I Violett E. McCallum of the county and State aforesaid being of sound mind and Disposing memory and being conscious of the uncertainty of Life and the certainty of Death, Do Make constitute and publish this as my last will and Testament. 1st. Owing to the fact that I have no children I give to My Brother Elijah S. Taylor one dollar and to my Brother Elisha R. Taylor I give and Bequeath out of my estate one dollar. To my husband Jesse W. McCallum I give and bequeath all the remainder of my property of every kind and Description both real and personal after the payment of my debts and burial Expences. 3rd. I appoint Thomas A. Wrights pg. 116 My sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament This___day___A.D. 1873: Signed Violett E. McCallum State of Missouri, County of Stoddard We W.B. Sprinkles and J.W. Sprinkles attest the above will by subscribing our names hereto as witnesses in the presence of the Testatrix and in the presence of Each other. This ___Day___A.D. 1873 W.B. Sprinkles J.W. Sprinkles State of Missouri County of Stoddard In the Probate court (Vacation) County of Stoddard Be it Remembered that on this the eleventh day of May A.D. 1885 personally appeared before the undersigned P.G. Wilson Judge of the probate Court of the county and State aforesaid, William P. Sprinkles and J.W. Sprinkles, the subscribing witnesses to the annexed Will on the copy of the original will which has been destroyed by fire as they are informed and believe which was the will of Violett E. McCallum the testatrix subscribed the same in their presence and published the same will or Instrument of writing a copy of which is hereto attached as her last will that she, the said Testatrix was at the time of publishing her said Will of sound mind and more than twenty one years of age and that they the said deponents attested said will as witnesses thereto by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of the said testatrix, and the presence of Each other. Wilson Judge of the Probate court of Stoddard County having Examined the foregoing Instrument purporting to be a true copy of the Last Will of Violett E. McCallum and signed by her and having heard the testimony of W.P. Sprinkles and J.W. Sprinkles subscribing witnesses thereto in the relation to the Execution of the said Last Will of which the foregoing is a copy, Do declare and adjudge said Instrument to be the Last will and testament of the Said Violett E. McCallum Deceased late of Stoddard County Missouri.
