To all whom this May concern Know ye that I George W. Lacy being in bad Health but of Sound Mind do this day Make My last Will and Testament. And dispose of My Effects in the following manner to wit: First My funeral Expenses Be paid and of my Effects. Second My Doctors bill; Third all just debts if any. Fourth that I devise and bequeath to my son William S. Lacy one Dollar and the remainder to be Equally divided between my wife Jane Lacy and the rest of my children to wit: James M. Lacy, John R. Lacy, George A. Lacy, Daniel W. Lacy, Julia A. Lacy. And I further will that My Son John R. Lacy be my Executor. George W. Lacy pg. 94 deceased Late of Stoddard County Mo. On this the 18th day of December 1879 before me Judge of the Probate Court within and for the county of Stoddard aforesaid personally came Isaac A. Smith and William A. Peck who being by me duly Sworn on their oath Say that they were present and Saw George W. Lacy Sign the foregoing instrument purporting to be his last will and testament and heard him publish and declare the Same to be his last will and Testament and that at the time of Signing and publishing the Same the Said George W. Lacy was of Sound and Disposing mind and that these deponents and William Smith Subscribed their names there to as witnesses to the Same in the presence and at the request of the Testator and in the presence of Each other. Mauldin Judge of the Probate court of Stoddard County, State of Missouri having Examined the foregoing instrument purporting to be the last will of George W. Lacy Deceased and Signed by George W. Lacy and having heard the testimony of William A. Peck and I. A. Smith Subscribing witnesses thereto in relation to the Execution of the Same do declare and adjudge Said instrument to be the last will and testament of the Said George W.
