Shook deceased hath in due form been exhibited proved and recorded, a copy of which is hereto annexed and inasmuch as it appears that Josiah Dorris was appointed executor in and by the said last will to execute the same; and whereas it also appears to the satisfaction of the court that said Josiah Dorris has since departed this life without having completed the final administration of said deceased. Now therefore to the end that the property of the testator may be preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein; and that the Said last will may be executed according to the request of the testator. We do hereby appoint Jesse B. Ligget administrator debenus non with the annexed of said deceased Hiram A. Shook with power to collect and secure all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said Hiram A. Shook at the time of his death, in whose ever possession the same may be found; and to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon them by said will so far as these shall be property and the law charge him, and in general to do and perform all other things which now are or hereafter may be required of him by law. In Testimony whereof I Pinckney Mabrey Judge of the Probate in and for said county of Stoddard aforesaid have pg. 27 hereunto signed my name and affixed my private seal there being no seal of office yet procured at office in Bloomfield Missouri this 15th day of January A.D. 1867.
