August 15th, 1919 Will Know all men by these presents that I, Joe B. Triplett of sound mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. As to my worldly estate, and all the property, real, personal or mixed, of which I hall die seized and possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I devise, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following, to wit: First, my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor hereinafter named, be paid out of my estate, as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient. Second, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Amanda Triplett all my household furniture and the home as now located and she to have one third of all rents and moneys divided them from the following lands during her natural life time, to wit: The west half of the southeast quarter of section five and the south east quarter of the south west quarter and the south west quarter of the northeast quarter and twenty acres off the east side of the southeast quarter of the north west quarter of section four all in township twenty five, range eleven. I also give and bequeath all other personal property now standing in my name to my said beloved wife. It is my will that my minor children viz: Minnie & Cary Triplett, live with my said wife in our present home as long as they remain single and unmarried. Third: I give and bequeath to my son Newton Triplett the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of section four township twenty five, range eleven, subject to above conditions. Fourth: I give and bequeath to my son George Abner Triplett all the south west quarter of the southeast quarter of section four, township twenty five, range eleven. Subject to above conditions. Fifth: I give and bequeath to my daughter Carey Triplett all the north west quarter of the southeast quarter of section four, township twenty five, range eleven, subject to above conditions. Sixth: I give and bequeath to my daughter Minnie Triplett, thirty acres of land being the south half of the east half of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter and the south half of the southwest quarter of the north east quarter of section four, township twenty five, range eleven, subject to above conditions. Seventh: I give and bequeath to my daughter, Rose Jackson, Thirty acres /pg.2/ of land, being the north half of the east half of the south east quarter of the north west quarter and the north half of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section four, township twenty five, range eleven, subject to above conditions. Lastly, I do nominate and appoint my son George Abner Triplett, to be the executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I Joe B. Triplett, have to this, my last will and testament, contained one sheet of paper, and to this sheet subscribed my name and to this, the only sheet thereof, I have subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this 15th day of August A.D. 1919. Triplett died testate at Essex, Missouri on the 21st day of September, 1919 leaving as his heirs at law Amanda Triplett, widow, Newton Triplett, son; George Abner Triplett, son; Carrie Triplett, daughter; Minnie Triplett, daughter; and Rose Jackson, daughter. Triplett - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, hath, in due form of law been exhibited, proved and recorded, in the office of the - Judge - of the Probate Court of-Stoddard -County, Missouri, a copy of which is hereunto annexed; and Inasmuch as it appears that -George Abner Triplett - ha -s - been appointed execut -or - in and by said Last Will and Testament, to execute the same, and to the end that the property of the said Testator may be preserved for those who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein, and that the said Last Will and Testament may be executed according to the request and instruction of the said Testator, we do hereby authorize -him - the said - George Abner Triplett - as such Execut- or -, to collect and secure, all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of the said -Joe B. Triplett - at the time of h - is - death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be found; and to perform and fulfill all such duties as may be enjoined upon -him - by said Last Will and Testament, so far as there shall be property and the law charge - him - ; and in general to do and perform all other acts which are now or may be hereafter required of - him - by law. Triplett, Executor -of the Last Will and Testament of -Joe B. Triplett - deceased, late of-Stoddard -County, Missouri shall well and faithfully execute the said Last Will and Testament, and shall make true and faithful inventories, returns, and settlements of accounts of the Estate of the said Testator, according to law, and shall, moreover, do and perform all other matters and things touching the execution of the said Last Will and testament, as are or shall be prescribed by law, or enjoined on -him - by the order, judgment or decree of any Court having competent jurisdiction, then this obligation to be void and of no effect; otherwise to remain in full force.
