Sullivan County, Missouri, Warranty Deed - Robert M. Sharp Book I, pp. 221-222 Know all men by these presents that we Robert M. Sharp and Louisa his wife and Jonathan E. Vroom and Sarah his wife of the County of Sullivan and State of Missouri for and in consideration of the Sum of three hundred dollars to them in hand paid by William A. Lane of Said County the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and Sell unto the Said William A. Lane the following described real estate lying in Said County of Sullivan and Known as the East half of the South East quarter of Section five in township Sixty one North of Range twenty west also the East half of the South East quarter of Section Eight and the North half of the North East quarter of Section Seventeen in township sixty one North of Range twenty one West Containing in all two hundred and forty acres be the Same more or less all the fencing including the field on said land to go with it except the part belonging to William Calhoun and we covenant to clear Said land of taxes for the year 1861 and previous years. To have and to hold the Same unto the Said Lane, his heirs and assigns forever and the grantors hereto hereby covenant and agree to warrant and defend the title to the real estate herein conveyed with the Said Lane, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whomever. Sharp and Louisa his wife and Jonathan E. Vroom and Sarah his wife who are personally known to me to be the persons whose names are Subscribed to the within and foregoing deed as having executed the Same as parties thereto and they Severally acknowledged the Same to be their voluntarily act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned. They the said Louisa Sharp and Sarah Vroom being by me first made acquainted with the contents thereof and examined Separate and apart from their Said husbands whether they Executed the Said instrument of writing freely, voluntairly(sic) and without compulsion or undue influence of their Said husbands, acknowledged and declared that they executed the Said deed and relinquish their dower in the land and tenements mentioned voluntaily(sic), freely and without compulsion or undue influence of their Said husbands.
