Sullivan County, Missouri, Warranty Deed - Robert M. Sharp Book H, pp. 276-278 To all to whom these presents shall come, I, Oliver P. Phillips of the County of Sullivan, State of Missouri send greetings. Whereas on the 1st day of September 1860 two Judgments were rendered by John Swigart, a Justice of the Peace in and for Duncan Township in Sullivan County, both in favor of Robt. M. Sharp against George W. Jenkins, one of said Judgments for the sum of one hundred and forty one dollars & Thirty eight cents for debt and three dollars and eighty cents for damages and the other for the sum of Eighty three dollars and seventy five cents for debt & three dollars and Ten cents for damages and whereas afterwards to wit on the 1st day of Oct. AD 1860 a transcript of each of said judgments was filed in the office of the Clerk of Circuit Court of Sullivan County and was forth with recorded and entered on the docket of Circuit Court Judgments and decrees upon each of which Judgments an execution issued from the Clerk's office of said Court in favor of said Robert M. Sharp against the said George W. Jenkins dated the 5th day of November AD 1860 directed to the sheriff of the County of Sullivan and the same were to me delivered on the 5th day of November AD 1860 by virtue of which said execution I the said Sheriff did on the 5th day of November AD 1860 levy upon all the right, title, intent(sic) and estate of the said George W. Jenkins in and to the following described Real Estate situato in my said County to wit the East half of the North West quarter and the South West of the North West quarter of section No. Twenty one (21) in Township No. Sixty one (61) of Range No. Twenty one (21) containing one Hundred and Twenty acres (120) and having previously to the day of sale here in after mentioned given at least twenty days notice of the time and place of said sale and of the real Estate to be sold and where situated as the Law directs by advertisement in the Milan Weekly Farmer a news paper printed in my said County by virtue of which said execution and notice I did on the 4th day of December AD 1860 between the hours of Nine in the forenoon and five in the afternoon of that day agreeably to said notice at the Court house door in my said County at the December Term thereof for the year 1860 expire to sale at public auction for ready money all the right, title, intent(sic) and estate of the said George W. Jenkins of, in and to the above described real estate, and Robert M. Sharp being the highest and last bidder for said real estate at the price and sum of Sixty Dollars the same was stricken off and sold to the said Robert M. Sharp for that sum. Now therefore in consideration of the premises and of the said sum of Sixty Dollars to me the said Sheriff in hand paid by the said Robert M. Sharp the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledged(sic) and by virtue of the authority in me vested by Law, I, Oliver P. Phillips sheriff as aforesaid do hereby assign, transfer and convey to the said Robert M. Sharp all the right, title, interest and estate of the said George W. Jenkins of, in and to the above described property that I might sell as sheriff as aforesaid by virtue of the aforesaid executive and notice To have and to hold the right, title, interest and estate hereby conveyed unto the said Robert M. Sharp, his heirs and assigns forever with all rights and appurtenances thereto belonging. In Witness Whereof, I, Oliver P. Phillips sheriff of the County of Sullivan have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this 7th day of December AD 1860. Oliver P. Phillips sheriff of Sullivan County in the State of Missouri and acknowledged that he executed the foregoing deed to the following land situato in the County of Sullivan and state of Missouri to wit South West, North West qu East half of the North West of section No. twenty one (21) in Township Sixty one of Range Twenty one containing one hundred and Twenty (120) acres situato in Sullivan County and state of Missouri and the said Oliver P. Phillips declared to said court that he acknowledged the said deed to Robert M. Sharp for the uses and purposes there mentioned and that said acknowledgement was by the Court ordered to be entered of record.
