Monring Oregonian September 22, 1904
St.Jospeh,Mo.,Sept.21-W.H.Harroun,the grain operator of St.Joseph,wo is 
charged with the forgery of bills of lading to the extent of $1,000,000, is 
evding arrest.Deputy Sheriff Charles Clark,of Kansas City,arrived here tonight 
with the two warrants for his arrest. He is charged with forging two warehouse 
receipts in Kansas City and obtaining theeby several thousand dollars from 
Kansas City banks.Officers secured the city today,but Harroun had been 
notified from Kansaas City of the warrants.
