Biographical Sketch of R. Jason White, Webster County, Missouri >From "History of Laclede, Camden, Dallas, Webster, Wright, Texas, Pulaski, Phelps and Dent Counties, Missouri" The Goodspeed Publishing Company, 1889. ********************************************************************** R. Jason White, merchant of Seymour, Mo., is a son of Moses and Amanda J. (Freeman) White, both of whom were born in Tennessee. They were married in Wright county, Mo., and have since been engaged in farming in that county. R. Jason White, whose name heads this sketch, grew to manhood in Wright county, and at the age of twenty years began clerking in a drug store in Hartville, and in 1881 came from that town to Marsh- field, and followed the same occupation in that place for some time. In February, 1884, he came to Seymour, and for four years was a clerk in the general mercantile establishment of S. C. Trimble, and at the end of that time engaged in the general grocery business, which is proving quite a success. He was married in Webster county, on the 11th of October, 1885, to Frona Goss, a daughter of Jacob Goss, of Webster county. She was born, reared and educated in the county, and is the mother of two children, Charles H. and Verba. She is a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
