Dannar, son of John M. and Clara Dannar, was born near Worth, Mo., Oct 20, 1908, and died Sept. 6, 1935, at the age of 26 years 10 month and 10 days. April 30, 1933, he was united in marriage to Marguerite Mathews, who with other loved ones, thnderely cared for him during his long illness. He received his elementary and high school education in the Worth schools and was graduated from the Worth high school in the class of 1927. Later he attended the State Teacher's College at Maryville, Mo., and prepared for the profession of teaching. Since 1930 he has taught the upper grades of the Worth Public Schools, where he made a wonderful succes in his chose work. Elvis leaves to mourn his death, a wife, his father and mother and the following brothers and sisters: Marion L., Charley H., of Worth; Mrs. Dave Gabriel of Gentry; Mrs. Cleo Redden, Stanberry; Mrs. Gloe Meek, Grant City, and Dillard W., Mary Frances and John C. of the home, with many other relatives and friends. No finer young man ever grew to manhood in this community nor one who was held in higher esteem by his friends, his fellow teachers, his pupils and everyone who knew him. Not only will the family suffer the irreparable loss of a loving husband, son, and brother, but the people of Worth will feel keenly the passing of one who always had a kind word and cheery greeting for all and who was interested in the upbuilding of the community. The funeral services were conducted at the Worth Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, by the Rev. Roy Lamb of Pickering, assisted by the Rev. Howard Fisher, pastor of the Worth Methodist church. A quartet, composed of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Harmon, Mrs. Mont Trump and Hayes Andrews, sang "Will teh Circle Be Unbroken?", "Going Down the Valley", and "Good Night and Good Morning," with Miss Evadne Batt at the piano. The pall bearers were all former eighth grade graduates, *name unreadable*, Forest Latimer, Harry Setzer, Sherman Lambert, Homer Lynch and Virgie Watson. The flower girls were from his eighth grade class of 1935, Wauneta Setzer, Carol Myers, Ruby Cox, Della Myers, Icel Defield, Ruby Killingsworth, Charlene Dannar, Helen Meek and Verna May Redden. The body was laid to rest in the Grant City cemetery.
