Mr. Ross, born east of Parnell worked for Sears & Roebuck Co. for more than 20 years. He owned and operated Ross Cycles in Albany and raced motorcycles. He played a saxophone and electric bass in a number of area bands, the most recent, Mickey Miller and the Midwesterners in Redding, Iowa. Mr. Ross was a member of the Christian Church and Lions Club, Gentry. He married Annie Sparks at Albany in 1986. She survives. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda M. Additional survivors include his mother, Dorotha Ross, Bethany; two daughters, Kathy Champagne, Homa, La.; and Dawn Ross, Kansas City, Kan.; two stepsons, John Doll, Bethany; and David Doll, Red Bluff, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Cindy Lang, Lake Viking; a sister, Phyllis A. Stoll, Stanberry; two grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. Services were Jan. 6 at Roberson-Polley Funeral Home, Albany. Burial was in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Denver.
