DOWDEN Male -died 29 Nov 1898, the son of Mr. & Mrs. F. M. Dowden. Funeral at the Christian church & burial in Sheridan, MO. DOWIS Mrs. Mary -died 22 Feb 1894 at Medical Lake Hospital, Medical Lake, Wash., of St. Vitus Dance, aged 42 years. She was the wife of Jasper Dowis & a sister of Mrs. C. H. Carroll of the Sheridan, MO vicinity. Burial in Mitchell cemetery. DOWIS "Grandma"-died 30 May 1894, north of Sheridan, MO, aged 75 years. She was one of the pioneer settlers of Worth Co. MO. Lived in Worth Co. since 1861. Burial in Mitchell cemetery. DOWNING Mrs. Frank -died 2 Jan 1898. She was born Emma in MO, 4 Mar 1877. She married Frank Downing, 3 Oct 1895. She was one of 3 sisters, one having died before her and one brother living in Okla. She leaves one daughter, aged nearly 2 years. DRUMMINS James Thomas -died 18 Jul 1899. He was born in Pickering Co., Ohio, 17 Jan 1857. When he was quite small, his parents moved to Worth Co., MO & has been his home ever since. He married Catherine Warden, 13 Jun 1875 & to them was born one son Ulysses S. Drummins, who has reached manhood & was married to Mary Anise Brandt, 20 Sept 1899. Mary Brandt is the daughter of Mrs. George Brandt. Burial in Honey Grove cemetery. DUBOIS Mrs. Anna -died 19 May 1895, aged 37 years in Middlefork Twp. She was born Anna E. Arnold in Ind., 14 Apr 1858. She married Orson Dubois, 12 Oct 1876 & came to Worth Co. MO in 1883. She leaves her husband & 6 children. She was a cousin of Mrs. Joseph Witmer , of Worth Co. burial in Grant City, MO. DUBOIS Frankie Orville -died 2 Mar 1895, the youngest child of Orson & Anna Dubois, age 2 years, 11 months & 16 days. Burial in Grant City, MO. DUBOIS Orson -died 3 Nov 1895, of Maple Grove neighborhood. He was born in Ripley Co., Ind., 19 Apr 1850, aged 45 years at death. He came to MO in the fall of 1883. He married Anna E. Arnold, 12 Oct 1877, who has preceded him in death. Eight children were born to them & 5 have died in infancy. A strange fatality seem to have followed this family, 4 members having died within 2 years, 3 of these 4 since last March.Burial in Grant City, MO. DUCKER Walter L. -died 1 Sept 1894 in Lincoln, Nebr., aged 20. He came to Worth Co., MO in 1881, with his parents and his father died in 1882. With his mother and 2 younger brothers, moved to Lincoln in 1883. Funeral at the home of L. M. Smoots and burial in Grant City,MO. DUNFEE C. V. -died 21 Nov 1895, of Allen Twp., Worth Co., MO, from typhoid fever. He was born in Worth Co., 7 Oct 1871, the son of Isaac Dunfee. He taught school. He went to Blackburn, MO in 1894 & taught in the Dry District until last Sept. He completed the course in Stanberry Normal school. PAGE 55 STULL Martin...(cont) ...Miss Marry Hannah in 1850, who survives him. He was the father of 12 children & 10 survive. He came to Worth Co., MO in 1876. STULL Rolla -died 19 Jan 1897, aged 5 years, 3 months & 1 day. He was the son of Thomas & Martha Stull. Burial Wharton cemetery. SUTTER Leslie -died (reported in the 14 May 1896 paper), of Hopkins, MO. He was shot & killed by Charles Ulmer. He was a farm hand of Ulmer's. he also was a son-in-law of Jehw Johnson. SWIFT Fredrick -died 11 Jun 1897, of heart failure at Grant City, MO, aged 77. He was born in Notinghamshire, Eng. In 1820. He came to the US in 1850 & settled in NY & he moved to Wisc. In 1864. Came to Worth Co., MO in 1870. He was married twice. First in 1839 to Elizabeth Randall, who died in 1845. He then married Ellen Turner in 1849 & she died in Worth Co. 16 years age. He was the father of 3 children by his first wife and nine of the second. Living are a son & 3 daughter, living in Worth Co. and 2 daughters in Nebr. And one daughter in Colo. He was a (sic) ordained local deacon in the Free Methodist church. TANDY Mrs. Jackson -died 11 Oct 1897, 7 miles southeast of Grant City, MO. She was born in 1852 in KY & came to MO after the civil war, with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. A. Keys, of Bethany, MO. She married Mr. Tandy in 1870. She leaves her husband & 5 children. Burial in Freeland cemetery. TEASLEY Mrs. James -died 1 Jan 1899. She was born Miss Frances Maylen(sic) in Chatteauguay Co., Canada, 15 Oct 1842, at the age of 15 she came to Worth Co., MO at the age of 16 she married James Teasley. To them were born 7 children and 5 are still living. She also leaves a brother, 3 half-brothers & 2 half-sisters. TEBOW Vane L. -died 24 Oct 1898 at Lamot, Okla. He was a brother-in-law of J. V. Davidson. Mr Tebow used to live with his parents near Sheridan, MO. He married Miss Stella Orr, who is a sister of Mrs. Volley Davidson, of Grant City. THOMPSON Miss Ollie -died 28 Oct 1899 at the home of her mother, Mrs. Sarah Thompson, near Irena, Worth Co. MO, aged about 21. Burial in Fletchall cemetery. THOMPSON Rena died 4 now 1896, 2 1/2 miles west of Guilford, Nodaway Co., MO, aged 18. She was the daughter of Scrap & Parthens Thompson & was born 2 Sept 1878. She leaves her parents (and)2 brothers. She was a niece of Mrs. William Rickabaugh; Mrs. John Daniels; Tom & Orran Stingley, of Sheridan, MO TIBBELS Mrs. Margaret (nee Bryson) -died 23 Apr 1899 at her home in Grant City, MO aged 80 years, 5 months & 11 days. She was born at Ames Ville, Ohio & there she married Jacob Tibbles, 2 Nov 1837. Jacob died in 1853. They had 7 children---Mrs. Melissa Croy, of Stanberry , MO; Mrs. Nancy Danford, of Stonington,.........
