Biographical Sketch of F. B. Fuson, M. B. Fuson, M. D., of Mansfield, Mo., was born in Wayne County, Tenn., in 1859, and is a son of John and Sophronia (Gallegly) Fuson, both of whom were born in Tennessee, the former's birth occurring in 1823 and the latter's in 1833. A short time previous to the breaking out of the Rebellion they moved to Illinois, and after serving for about three months in the Federal army, he engaged in farming, and in 1870 came to Wright County, but is now a resident of Webster County, and is engaged in the hardware business. F. B. Fuson is the third of their five children, and was educated in Missouri and when starting out in life for himself commenced as a drug clerk, afterward embarking in the busi- ness on his own responsibility in Hartville, where he remained several years. He graduated from the Missouri Medical College at St. Louis in 1886, as an M. D., and soon after located in Mansfield, where he immed- iately entered upon the practice of his profession, and is considered one of the rising young physicians of the county. He is progressive and enterprising, and is taking steps to have a medical society organ- ized in the county. He is a Master Mason, and a member of the A. F. & A. M. He was married to Miss Stella Johnson, of Kansas City, Mo., and by her is the father of one child, Gertrude. The name Fuson is of Welsh oritgin, but the paternal grandfather was born in Virginia, and was an early immigrant to Tennessee.
